Ms. Grigowski established a love for writing in the third grade when she was required to write a poem for a school contest; her poem received first place. After winning the contest, she began writing stories and poems. The contest was the flicker that began her love of writing and storytelling. She is now best known as the award-winning author of "The Sock Stealer" and "Anna and the Magic Red Rock." Aside from writing books, she continues to counsel, lead seminars step-families and overcoming past sufferings, and instruct family life education courses at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Mich.

Ms. Grigowski is inspired by Jesus Christ and her mother, Chaltza, who told the best stories, as well as her children, husband and grandchildren, along with a mix of other folks who have trickled in and out of her life. In addition, she's known to say, “I can have an inspiring moment just going for a walk in my backyard.” She lives with her husband and her little dogs, Maggie and Polly. She has four grown children and four young grandchildren. She loves to work in her vegetable and flower gardens, being outside, at the ocean, traveling, photography, staying healthy, and reading; but mostly she loves to write.
