Expanded Biography:
Ms. Ballas Kaspor found that children and their parents asked repetitive questions regarding children’s teeth and oral health throughout her many years practicing dental hygiene. Initially, she kept a journal, writing memoirs of her experiences. This led to her endeavor of writing the series of short, factual-fantasy storybooks answering questions commonly asked by children and parents in the dental office.
While practicing, Ms. Ballas Kaspor found one intriguing topic that evolved from conversations about the tooth fairy and losing baby teeth. She learned that most children are apprehensive about losing their primary teeth and have an explicit vision of the tooth fairy. This sparked her imagination and led to her creation of Star, the Tooth Fairy from Treasure Cloud. She envisioned “Star” as a unisex, cute fairy living on the clouds, based on what many children fantasize about the tooth fairy. She wanted to appeal to the children with a character from their own perspective and attract them to enjoyable books filled with dental information that answer the very questions they ask. In this way, the parent and child are educated simultaneously.

It is this: the gloriousness of childhood that will live on forever and ever, generation to generation, and make light-full the heart of childhood.
