Expanded Biography:
Dr. MacKechnie made a conscious effort to choose a career path where he could actively participate in his children's lives. He has been a little league manager with his son and has participated in cross-country programs with his daughter. He was also involved in creative problem-solving competitions as a regional director for Michigan with Odyssey of the Mind and Destination ImagiNation, and was the secretary of the state group as well as a judge in the competitions.

The highlight of his career was helping to train future allergists while treating all age groups and families.
