She became involved in her profession because when she was 16 years old, she interned for the civil service and worked in the federal energy office after she graduated college.

Ms. O'Connor previously worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in U.S. Customs and Border Protection. She in the proud aunt of two nephews and two nieces, which she has helped to raise and serves as a "second mom" to them all.
