The highlight of his career has been taking his company to the national and international level. He notes that its U.S. market and territories grew five times larger in 2011 as compared to 2010. The most gratifying aspect of his career is the continual development of individuals to be the best that they can be. He attributes his success to his faith, perseverance, never-give-up attitude, consistency and ability to think outside of the box.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because a client asked him to do some procurement work. Although Mr. Landgraf had not done any procurement before, he succeeded in finding cost savings and greater efficiencies for his client. Hooked on this new line of work, Mr. Landgraf operated in the purchasing profession as a sole proprietor from 1980 to 1989. The business entity was known as Compass NW from 1981 until 2009, when it was changed to Above the Standard Procurement Group, Inc.
Extended Bio Profile:
For more than 30 years, Mr. Landgraf has helped the federal government, corporations, and nonprofits save billions of dollars through procurement. His clients range from small companies to State Farm Insurance, Novell, Farmers Insurance Group, MetLife, Sprint, the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, and more. Mr. Landgraf also has experience in many different industries nationally and internationally, with a focus in operations, administration, finance, compliance, procurement, business development, and project management. His accomplishments include the development and implementation of procurement departments, and the streamlining of organizations through system implementation, reorganizations, and changed business processes, strategies, and objectives. He is also adept at compliance oversight and audit, creating teams in startup companies and businesses, and providing management leadership. Mr. Landgraf wrote procurement guidelines, policies and procedures, and led a national team for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) National Office of Job Corps (NOJC). He has personally trained more than 100 project managers, contract officers, regional directors, and other staff regarding procurement best practices for five DOL NOJC regions. In addition, he has trained thousands of individuals in procurement. Mr. Landgraf and his teams have documented an average of $534,000 of reduced costs annually for each procurement bid. Mr. Landgraf has been involved in business from an early age. He got his start selling cleaning and landscaping services door-to-door at the age of 8; by age 15 he was running a landscaping company with employees and learning what being in business was all about. His individual goal, as well as the goal of his company, is to give back from what he has received.

Planning, directing, and controlling all Above the Standard Procurement Group (ATS) activities in accordance with ATS plans, policies, directives, and activities; Ensuring financial stability and satisfaction commensurate with the best interest of clients, partners, affiliates, franchise and territory owners, vendors, strategic partners, employees, and corporate staff; Leading, guiding, and coaching ATS corporate staff, franchisees, vendors, and partners to provide the highest quality procurement cost reduction services, procurement compliance, and procurement outsourcing to clients; Directly supervising the director of finance and administration, vice president of sales and marketing, operations, consultants, information technology, human resources, franchise owners and sales network
