Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She become involved in her profession when she realized there weren’t enough volunteers in the program. In time, she continued to grow with the organization and has worked her way up to multiple levels within the program.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. MacSorley was born on August 24th in Maryland. She had a passion for her work and volunteerism. She became an ocularist for an ocular medical practice after 29 years in dentistry. She has 19 years of experience in sales and sales management. Additionally, she has over seven years of volunteerism in her local sports community.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensuring proper safety, conduct and dignity of the organization through ensuring all equipment is routinely retired to meet NOCSAE safety regulations and re-certified to the NOCSAE performance standards; Representing the league at AAYFA and Sports Council Board meetings, championship games and other conference functions while observing, listening, gathering and reporting valuable input from the field; Reporting all financial budget transactions directly to the commissioner and the executive director of operations; Making vendor and partner relationships and negotiations when ordering all equipment while remaining under budget; Working with pro and college teams to bring their children onto the field for Halftime Games; Setting up social media outlets such as Facebook pages and websites to help share news with their teams; Fundraising

In five years, Mrs. MacSorley hopes to continue to grow and expand with her volunteerism as well as put her sports knowledge to use in a full time career close to home.
