Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
There have been several highlights that standout in each area that he practiced. The 20 years at the Johns Hopkins Hospital was the greatest challenge due to the constant changes in practice, but also the most interesting. The pharmacy was cutting edge, progressive and always starting new practice initiatives, writing articles, working on investigational drugs for therapies and developing and stability testing new products. Being pharmacy director of the the Hopkins Home Infusion Company (MedCare) in 1989 was the most satisfying practice since we worked directly with the physician, nurse and patient. It was very rewarding to be able to help the patient and family/caregiver during their illness.

Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because he did well in chemistry and mathematics in high school, so he talked to the local pharmacist about the pharmacy profession. If pharmacy school was not possible then chemical engineering would have been the second choice.
