She attributes her success to her patients, the relationships she forms with them, and advancements of technology in her industry.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she had a friend with cerebral palsy who wore hearing aids during high school. She promised her that she would take a lip reading class with her. Years later, they reconnected, while Ms. Wigall was in college studying history. She decided to follow through with her promise, but she had to take an audiology class as a prerequisite to the lip reading class, which she did. She ended up falling in love with the study and her career became a natural progression of events.

Ms. Wigall does a lot of marketing for physicians and practices about hearing and hearing loss. She also writes press releases. She began dispensing hearing aids in 1976. In 1989, she purchased Atlantic Audiology, Inc.
