She became involved in her profession because she grew up in Italy, on a small farm, and her family owns restaurants, so it has been a natural progression for her.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Dougan has been a private chef in Nantucket for four years. In 2010, she was challenged to develop a gluten-free pasta recipe that did not skimp on taste, texture and flavor. She set out to develop the perfect recipe, and after much testing with friends, family and restaurants: her recipe proved to be a huge success. Eventually she was picked up by a distributor and now her products are in 45 stores in New England and New York City.
