The highlight of her career has been publishing two books that have allowed her to share her life's experiences, show others how she dealt with the issues she faced, and illustrate how she was able to find purpose in the midst of her life's storms.

She attributes her success to being confident, being a Christian woman, and having had a strong work ethic instilled in her by her family.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because her daughter became ill; writing was a catharsis to her, and she realized she could also help others through it. She progressed from journal writing to writing books.
Extended Bio Profile:
In the 1980s, Ms. Blake taught accounting at Newbury College and later had a home-based accounting and tax practice. In 1996, she became a tax auditor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and did that full- and part-time for about seven years. She has been writing in journals for more than 15 years and has published her first book, "Standing on His Promises: Finding Comfort, Hope, and Purpose in the Midst of Your Storm" and sent her second book, "Prayer and Meditation: Finding Comfort, Hope, and Purpose in the Midst of Your Storm" to print. She writes a newsletter for the Christian Connection. She is currently working on her third book, "Prayer and Meditation: For Kids and Teens." She goes out to the community and churches to speak.
