Ochsner Health System is a multidimensional integrated health care system of eight hospitals and more than 30 clinics. Ochsner Clinical School, which is partnered with the University of Queensland School of Medicine in Brisbane, Australia, provides clinical training to medical students, affording a global medical education on two continents.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Managing implementation and coordination; Supervising department clinical coordinators; Overseeing and providing services as needed to maintain required program activities; Developing and implementing student-related policy and procedures consistent with the aims and objectives of the clinical school; Managing programs within established budgets; Administering formal and informal evaluation and feedback protocols; Assisting in the design of assessment tools; Developing and implementing processes and information systems to achieve efficiencies and superior service in the areas of student and academic support and administration; Coordinating the use of quality data to support decision making in data preparation for special projects through document review, data evaluation, analysis and presentation; Planning and organizing of student rotational placements as a liaison with clinical coordinators and university staff in Brisbane, Australia; Ensuring clinical school placement of adequate student orientation programs, including any necessary resources; Supporting the preparation and distribution of curriculum information and associated informational materials to physician faculty, administrative coordinators and students rotating through the program; Developing and maintaining databases and systems to gather and analyze statistical information; Preparing reports on program activities; Creating, mentoring, leading and training teams at multiple levels of organizations
