Expanded Biography:
Dr. Glenn W. Martin has spent over 20 years in the counseling profession, education, and administration. He is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Louisiana. He is an advocate for mental health reform that will include senior citizens, whom he feels has been left out of thorough mental healthcare for one reason or another, usually through neglect. He takes his cues from Aristotle who penned the words: "Friends are an aid to the young, to guard them from error: to the elderly, to attend to their wants and to supplement their failing power of action; to those in the prime of life, to assist them to noble deeds."
Dr. Martin earned his Ph.D. after many years spent as a basic researcher at a major research institution in the field of human behavior and performance enhancement through behavioral science. He published his first book, "The Hero and the Heroine," which was a comprehensive guide to mental excellence, emotional intelligence, behavioral science and the quest for performance enhancement in today's information age. This book was published in the Pacific Northwest and the first edition quickly sold out. This work was promoted in the Pacific Northwest and England.
