Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Nelson’s company makes a product that could be an essential part of the protection of levees and band revetment projects. It is a series of concrete blocks interlocked with nylon rope configured to hold soil in place and trap sediment between the blocks to further anchor the mats in place and allow plant growth. The concrete configuration has also been proven to provide a natural habitat for marine life. The destruction of the Coastal Wetlands in Southern Louisiana is a serious problem to the environment and ecosystem of the vast wildlife and foliage that is slowly but surely becoming extent.
Mr. Nelson has had the privilege of being influenced by many great men throughout his life and career. One who has been particularly influential is Charles Moses, the man he has had the luxury of reporting to for most of his entire 32 years with his company.
