He attributes his success to his life experiences and the support he receives from his family.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession after he studied law at the University of Mexico and realized the restaurant industry was a viable field for lucrative income generation; after volunteering in the community, he recognized the strong need for someone to serve as the liaison for non-English speaking individuals and also assist them with translations in venues including hospitals, court houses and post offices.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Garcia formed the National Sports Association, a group that promoted a soccer tournament in 2008. He is also currently creating Olympic trials for all amateur sports in the United States and has been involved with amateur sports leagues for the past three years. He has recently been elected to serve as president for the citizen police academy. He is opening his seventh Garcias, Inc. location in mid-October of 2009, and the new restaurant will differ in style; while Garcias is typically a casual dining establishment, the new location will be geared more toward the fine dining experience.
