She became involved in her profession because at the time, it was a good opportunity for her. She then found her way into administration and had many ideas to help the school grow. She fell into place in this position.
Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Lacey-Haun has been in higher education for 30-plus years and the dean of the School of Nursing for more than seven years. Prior to this, she served as the associate dean for both nursing and graduate studies. This past fall, she was recognized by The University of Alabama at Birmingham's School of Nursing as a visionary. Dr. Lacey-Haun has six grandchildren.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Managing the school's budget of $6 million per year; Implementing strategic planning, which consists of diversified and cultural inclusion; Overseeing a faculty of 36 and 17 staff members; Fundraising; Staying current on technology resources for online classes
