Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession when he started working at his mother's hotel and pub in Scotland at just 14 years old. When Mr. Gibb turned 17, his parents told him they were selling the pub to focus on their retail business, and they gave him the choice of working with them or leaving. Although his parents disapproved, he decided to continue his culinary adventure. Mr. Gibb started out working in the best hotel in Aberdeen while attending college, and through hard work he completed his apprenticeship with distinction. He moved on to working at five-star hotels, cooking for celebrities, and competing in culinary competitions. Eventually, Mr. Gibb decided to take his talents abroad, and now has experience working in the Caribbean, China, Malaysia, and Singapore, where he is now based. He loves having the opportunity to work with different people to understand their culture and traditional cuisine.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Gibb believes that, in cooking, is important to take the time to understand the basics of how everything works together to create an outstanding dish. Being a chef is difficult because of the commitment and long hours, but he feels that it was absolutely worth it.

Mr. Gibb was chosen out of 80 chefs to be the personal chef for the late King Hussein of Jordan and his wife during their honeymoon. He has also cooked for Steve Martin, Prince Charles, and the late Princess Diana.

If he has one regret, it is not going to London or Europe to work alongside the superstar Michelin chefs. That experience is worth its weight in gold.
