Being selected as a Reserve for the England Lacrosse team during my second year at university and therefore playing against the US and Australian teams on tour in the UK.
Charity:
At the age of 17, before going to university, I was accepted for 'Voluntary Service Overseas' and was posted to the Solomon Islands to teach in a primary school for a year. I lived in a leaf hut on a small island with no running water and no electricity. My transport was a dugout canoe. This experience put life-long values into context for me.

What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
I attribute my success primarily to the examples and support of my parents, their influences and strong morals.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
I became involved in my capacity because I am extremely passionate about children and young people making the most of all their talents and abilities with the help of a strong moral compass to guide their thinking, decision-making, actions and behavior.
Extended Bio Profile:
My career has been principally as a company secretary but when the head of the Human Values Foundation became too ill to continue, I resigned immediately from the corporate world and took the job as Chief Executive Officer of the charity in May 2009. I won a Charity Women of the Year award for exceptional service a few months later.

Managing daily operations of the charity; Developing business strategy and planning; Managing finance and fundraising; Overseeing marketing and sales
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
Within 5 years I intend to elevate the charity's profile and reputation so that values education is accepted as a core part of mainstream education.
