She attributes her success to working hard on a farm in a family of five brothers since her youth. She worked in teh trenches as one of the first females in the early 80's in telecommunications, which included digging up calbe lines to repair; climbing poles to provide overhead telephone service. This experience, combined with extensive experience in telecommunications, has enabled her to be in business development roles and project manager roles.

She became involved in her profession through her extensive experience working end-to-end in the telecommunications industry, starting as a line technician in support of trouble shooting. In addition, she worked as a call centre manager in telecommunications as well as recruitment. Furthermore, she served as project manager to business development for Bell's largest client, the Government of Alberta, to escalation manager across Western Canada.

Ms. Klein was one of the first women to work as a telecommunications electrician in the early 1980s. She paved the way for future female professionals in her field. She has additional experience working as a branch manager in the recruitment industry and has supervised a call center staff of more than 180 employees.
