Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she has always been passionate about interacting with people. During college, she worked with great teachers who persuaded her to obtain an MBA after earning a bachelor's degree in marketing. She worked with her teachers on marketing projects that had direct impacts on employee efficiency and increased revenue.

At her church, Ms. Biraben plans annual family gatherings comprised of 1,500 people; she has done this for the past four years. She has also provided guidance, and educational and emotional support to a young Ethiopian mother and friend while she was working as a part-time teacher at a university. Ms. Biraben has been published by the Academy of Marketing Science.
