She became involved in her profession because her husband was a submarine commander and when they both retired, they started this business. They began researching auction information and learned about antiques. Prior to this, Ms. Barnes was a communications consultant.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
1) Attending various auctions; Specializing in antiques and jewelry; Making private house calls; Doing seven or eight antique shows per year, on Vancouver Island and the Mainland 2) Giving speeches to the new graduates 3) Writing screenplays, television plays and memoirs
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Barnes would like to be published and pick up a television series with a Canadian production company.
