The highlights of her career all involved international experiences with her students, including teaching during the height of the Children’s War in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa; teaching young Muslim women who wanted to become doctors in Oman; accompanying teacher candidates as they developed curricula in Lebanon as the head of department; and accompanying German students, mainly teacher candidates, in their bid to understand African and Islamic cultures in Germany.

What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
She attributes her success to having taken advantage of the opportunities she has been given.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after working for a year with the Berlin Mission Society right out of school. After coming into direct contact with the excesses of apartheid South Africa, she knew the world as she understood it would never be the same again. As a result, she vowed to have an input in the way young people were educated and thereby equipped to take charge of a world which would otherwise not give them a fair deal.

Dr. Paasche is a German citizen with extensive international experience. She teaches at TU Dortmund University and is a freelance business language trainer.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Developing and teaching courses on African literature and culture to university students; Supervising Bachelor of Arts students, Master of Arts and Staatsarbeiten (German teacher certification) theses; Teaching English to executives in multinational companies
