Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was fascinated by the human body and the sciences related to it. She left medical practice and joined the pharmaceutical industry in order to be part of developing innovative medicines and for supporting patient access to improved therapies.
Extended Bio Profile:
After studying medicine in Munich, Germany, Dr. Mueller started practicing internal medicine and cardiology for close to four years. In 1989, she joined the pharmaceutical industry, where she remained for 20 years. She has held regional and global roles in medical marketing, medical affairs and business operations. She was previously in senior management in the business and clinical operations of the pharmaceutical industry.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Overseeing the conception and implementation of clinical trials on a global level; Planning and managing publications; Organizing and leading multifunctional and global teams of multinational-leading pharmaceutical companies
