Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was passionate about helping the region in which she lives. She was working for a huge company and decided to work in her local area in order to help the surrounding people.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Berard worked nine years as a controller for a security company. She has also spent seven years in the communications business, primarily with radio stations, as a business manager. Her role was to support and guide general managers in their financial decisions. After this, she moved from the private sector to the government sector and joined CLD as a general manager. She has worked in management for more than 10 years.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Managing a team of eight; Contacting different governmental provincial agencies, and municipalities, to collaborate and form projects; Finding people and funds in tourism, agriculture and economics to help businesses in the region; Overseeing, hiring and firing, and interviewing members; Meeting with government agencies, private companies, and businesses in tourism and agriculture to ensure projects are feasible; Developing projects with a team
