Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Hockridge has been involved in construction from the age of 15, when he was given the task to assist in the construction of a house that he and his father were building for the family. His father was a construction superintendent for more than 30 years, and he would drop Mr. Hockridge off at the new house in the mornings on his way to his job, come back to have lunch, and stop in after work to work for a few hours before going home for the day. The weekends were more of the same, but with his help. It was this type of work ethic that has helped Mr. Hockridge to this day. Needless to say, he developed a great number of abilities in tool use and maintenance, problem-solving, and plumbing and electrical work. He found that mistakes are also a learning tool. He took this knowledge, enhanced it with a sprinkling of educational endeavors, and developed it to the skills he has today. He has operated several construction-related businesses both as an owner and manager. He feels fortunate to be able to pass on these skills, abilities and knowledge to young people and see how they progress upward during the life of a project. Mr. Hockridge has spent 15 years working part time as a level II ski instructor.
