He attributes his success to his passion for working in the service field and helping people understand ways to improve health and safety.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession after spending 30 years in health and safety, and retiring as a chief inspector of fatal investigations. He was a chief inspector of factories and shops, and has always been passionate about health and safety. After visiting so many different facilities, he has become well-versed in safety. In the past, he worked more directly with coroners. He is now focused on consulting with large corporations to help them reduce risks, injuries and deaths.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Working with different construction sites, mining sites, and port facilities to help reduce serious injuries; Coordinating with project managers, directors and general managers on system improvements; Focusing on improving health and safety and reducing injuries and deaths

In five years, Mr. Elkington hopes to continue helping people identify issues in the workplace.
