Ms. Elliott's hatred of failure separates her from her peers, as her training within the military has taught her that failure is not an option because it meant people's lives were at stake.

Ms. Elliott's greatest career achievement has been serving as a commander in Iraq and Afghanistan and bringing her whole troop home safely.

Ms. Elliott would like to be remembered by her peers for having a positive impact on the lives of others, and for doing something special for each person she came in contact with.

If Ms. Elliott could solve one global problem, she would choose to address the issue affecting the world's educators, who are incapable to take the position as educators with the commitment level that is necessary to impact the future generations for greatness.

If she could have lunch with anyone, Ms. Elliott would choose to dine with John Dewey, because he was a visionary who was ahead of his time.

She attributes her success to her courage to not fear failure and the support she receives from her parents.

She became involved in her profession when she decided to choose education as her career after working in the military for 22 years.

Ms. Elliott worked in the retail industry before joining the United States Army. She served in military intelligence and retired in 2004. Her previous positions in the education field include instructional coach and dean of students. She also served in Operation Desert Storm and was a commander in the military.
