What do you feel separates you from the rest of the professionals in your industry?:
Chief among the many aspects of his personal philosophies and principles that separate Mr. Zakoshansky from his peers, is his rare ability to genuinely enjoy the accomplishments of his colleagues, and his utter lack of jealousy for their successes and prosperity. Mr. Zakoshansky’s unending quest for truth and beauty has taken him to a world of passion and sensitivity, that he found in both poetry and science, and in that “inner center” that is hidden from the eyes of others. Mr. Zakoshansky prefers to rely on the strength of personal good deeds and actions, and not on empty words. He is able to identify the core problems of any situation and then target his full attention and abilities on their resolution, rather than to get tangled up in minor details, relying on his innate and well-honed ability to think “outside the box”. Mr. Zakoshansky has no respect and little patience for those who are guided solely by the principles of improving their careers, and most of all, he despises plagiarists of the ideas and technologies of others. Mr. Zakoshansky has the ability to take any task he starts to completion, no matter how difficult and painful is that path, while following, and never betraying, his firm principles. His ability to clearly focus on the task at hand had enabled him to achieve great advances in discovering and developing new and unique technologies in his field.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Mr. Zakoshansky’s greatest career achievements thus far have been the creation, development, and commercial implementation of a revolutionary, safe, and fully automated process of cumene hydroperoxide cleavage, as well as his development and verification, by positive results of real-world experiments, of his completely new theory of the science of hydroperoxide cleavage, that, by its application to the cumene oxidation processes, shattered the conventional previously known conceptions relating to hydroperoxide cleavage.
Expanded Biography:
Mr. Zakoshansky began his career as an ordinary researcher in 1964. He invented his first process in Russia in 1970. In 1992, he founded his own research and development company called ILLA International, which, in several years, became a leader in phenol technologies. While working in General Electric, he succeeded in implementing six breakthrough technologies which drastically changed the image of this large phenol producer. His achievements prompted him to leave the company and devote all of his time to creating, developing and marketing his processes worldwide. He feels extremely lucky to have a highly professional team of researchers in his company. He is not reluctant to implement his ideas, no matter how bizarre they might sound, he strongly feels that one cannot achieve the impossible without attempting the absurd. He achieved his success through the aforementioned processes, and his company’s practices run internationally, with phenol plants in countries including the United States, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Russia, Mexico and Taiwan. He is proud to mention that 30 percent of the world's phenol is produced by his company’s technologies. They are up-to-date, safe, and so far, the best. He suggests that up-and-coming inventors be swift and never stop trying to formulate something even better. He also feels that it is wise to create a beautiful process, a fairy tale which everyone dreams of. His strong belief is that it is beauty and love that rule the world.
