I am driven by the desire that each of my students will achieve their maximum potential in their lives. I will spend as much time as necessary, working with them in class and individually to reach my goal, which is their success.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
I take great pride in knowing that I sparked an interest in biological science which encouraged a large number of my students to go on to become teachers, doctors, nurses, research scientists, dentists, dentists, chiropractors. pharmacologists, naturalists and work in other biologically related professions.
Expanded Biography:
As a child, Mrs. Emmett was encouraged by her parents to do her best in school. In high school, in the absence of any honors classes, her teachers challenged her by having her teach course concepts to her fellow schoolmates. In college, she was greatly influenced by the head of the Department of Physiology, Dr. Harold M. Kaplan (deceased), at Southern Illinois University. Because of him, she became involved in scientific research and teaching. Her first jobs were not in teaching on the secondary level, actually teaching undergraduates and graduates through post doctorate levels. She found her niche however, when she began teaching at the high school level.
Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is teaching at Nazareth Academy, she greatly appreciate the efforts of both her colleagues and students there.

She became involved her industry because, as an exceptional student she was allowed to assist teaching her peers, she subsequently fell in love with teaching.
