The most gratifying aspects of her career are reaching thousands of college students in their intellectually formative years and seeing them accomplish great things in academia, the arts and the professional world, while at the same time, pursuing her own academic and literary endeavors and raising her family.

Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession as a high school student, inspired by her own teachers, and at the same time, frustrated with the institutionalization of curricula that employed an ineffective "one approach fits all" practice in classrooms.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Davis was selected to be an Oxford Round Table participant in the summer of 2009. She traveled to Harris Manchester College in Oxford, England, to present an original paper on the topic of women and education in 19th-century literature. The paper was later accepted for publication in the online Forum on Public Policy, an Oxford Round Table quarterly scholarly publication. Ms. Davis began writing at a young age, read constantly, and grew through the guidance of many excellent teachers and mentors.

Teaching classes in writing, composition, creative writing, research paper writing and literature including short fiction, novels, poetry, drama, Chicago literature, women in literature, and film; Writing short fiction, poetry, scholarly articles, book reviews, and educational films
