Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession through her endless fascination with the visual and auditory systems and love for researching new discoveries in neuroscience.
Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Zelinsky's numerous papers, workshops and seminars on visuospatial and motor planning skills are recognized worldwide. In addition, Dr. Zelinsky created the macular connection visual rehabilitation course for the Blind Service Association. Her publications include "An Insight to Vision: A Guide to the Neurological Effect of Lenses" and "Bridging the Gap between Neuroscience and Eye Care." She is currently the regional director for the Optometric Extension Program, an organization designed to provide further specialized education to those optometrists with an interest in visual development. Furthermore, she does a great deal of public speaking at national and international conferences. Dr. Zelinksy also leads an international conference held the first Friday of every month. In July, 2011, she will be presenting innovative methods in clinical research to cardiologists and ophthalmologists in San Francisco, California.
