Dr. Johnston is an active community member and has promoted political involvement and engagement in recycling for the benefit of community and larger biosphere. He has served as an educational consultant for several public and private schools and received an Illinois State Scholarship Grant to complete his master's degree. He was also the first person in his family to receive a Ph.D.
