She became involved in her profession because she was inspired from her neighbor, who had a great reputation, maintained a lifelong ambition to work within the legal field, and gained extensive experience as a legal secretary.

Ms. Manning has served as a school teacher, a trial lawyer and is currently a federal judge. She plays in several ladies' jazz and big bands which are a combination of lawyers and all scales of different judges.
