Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is the excitement of seeing new and returning students each school year. Although she must deal with the fact that the teaching field is no longer the well-respected and calm profession is used to be, she is still delighted when her students graduate, and filled with anguish and prods them to attend summer school when they don't. There is a great deal of unrest and insecurity in today's teaching world due to No Child Left Behind, budget cuts, and growing reliance on technology that does not replace the teacher/student relationship by far. However, she never gives up on them and also tells them to never give up on themselves.

She attributes her success to the sterling example that her parents had set.

She became involved in her profession after home-schooling three children and desiring a career where she could be creative and passionate at the same time while lighting a fire under others.
