The most gratifying aspect of his career was when he spent 15 months working with children at the Boys and Girls Clubs, which allowed him the opportunity to spend time playing with children while teaching them character development, conflict resolution, life skills, and interpersonal skills.

What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
He attributes his success to enjoying working with the children at the Boys and Girls Clubs in Boise, ID. He enjoys teaching them, helping resolve conflicts, and watching their personalities and characters grow under her guidance is the most rewarding work he has ever done.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because he always had a counselor's drive. He always wanted to hear a person's biggest worries and troubles, and trying to help them work around it always came naturally. People seemed to seek him out because of it. He didn't know he wanted to work with children until he started substitute teaching, but it became very clear soon after.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Participating in an internship at the Child and Youth Study Center at the University of Idaho, as well as a school counseling internship at a Moscow area elementary school; Working as a psychosocial rehabilitation professional for a local area community counseling center; Providing home and community mental health services; Visiting clients at their homes; Conducting assessments; Providing comprehensive treatment plans in anger management, social skills and daily living skills
