She became involved in her profession because she previously taught music in the public school system.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mrs. Rees is recently retired from the public school system. She taught vocal and general music at middle school and elementary levels for 32 years. She has loved music all her life, and can remember singing to piano accompaniment when she was in elementary school. She began taking piano lessons when she was age 7. In junior high and high school, she was an accompanist. She loved being a music teacher, teaching and traveling with the students, helping them compete in choir tournaments. Now that she has retired, she is interested in building up her piano and voice studio in Shenandoah, Iowa. She is also a travel escort for a travel agency and is a cancer survivor.
