Ms. Felix was an educator for 15 years, worked in retail, a newspaper, and a historical and art museum for three years. In 1978, she made a lifestyle change from being a Catholic nun to a lay person. She is a published author who now hopes to write magazine articles, do dramatic readings of her poems, and publish a collection of her poems.

Ms. Felix is currently a columnist with "The Paradise Post," essentially a book titled "Wahine Noa: for the life of my country", a proactive memoir that maps out a "stolen citizenry's" efforts to surmount the pronouncements of domestic laws that belong, not to them, but to the American occupier who continues to misrepresent legal actuality. As a bridge across time, this book and companion CD extend the ancient genealogy of the Hawaiian people to the scholarship and civil resistance of today. In the works is a bi-monthly flyer on the same theme, but with a lighter touch. It will be called “Ka Hoku Welowelo,” or The Streaming Light.

Ms. Felix underscores Hawaii's credentials as an independent and sovereign country from the perspective of international law.
