She attributes her success to the training provided for her, both at the University of Miami and University of Maryland, Sheppard Pratt. However, she knows that without the love and support of family and friends, and her faith in God, none of her endeavors would have been successful.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because demonstrated an early interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology. However, once involved in her clinical rotations, she found that she had a natural curiosity toward the psychological state of her patients. She developed a growing fascination with psychiatry and pursued extra-training at both inpatient and outpatient clinical sites. Today, Dr. Thomas combines her interest in women's reproductive health with her training in general psychiatry. She aims to provide focused care for women experiencing changes in mood and cognition associated with the female reproductive life cycle.

Providing medication management and psychotherapy for adults and senior citizens living with mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders
