Ms. Macon has taught classes and workshops for 48 years. She studied with some of America's finest artists including Daniel E. Greene, Lajos Markos, Gregg Kreutz, Jim Wilcox, Richard McKinley, George Kountoupis and Tony Couch. She has won over 50 top awards in art competitions across the United States and has studied privately under many instructors. She published an article titled 'Color for the Oil Painter' in American Artist in 1998. She has also published an article on her indirect painting style in oil in the American Artist Magazine in 1997, which was modified and featured again in the 2001 limited edition of the magazine.
