The highlights of her career were finishing her education, using her degrees to teach at the university level, and developing the sunscreen and lotion applicator from idea to product.

What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
She attributes all of her success from God who gave her persistence and perseverance to never quit. Mentors that she has had in her life include her father, Walter D. Long for inventing the multi-compartmental, stainless-steel mailbox for fire departments. He led the way for her to invent too. Her bother, Lenny Long, an artist and adjunct professor, mentored her in art and teaching. Her other two brothers, Walter and Roland, mentored her by setting professional examples. Her husband Robert also mentored her through the advice and support he has given her for over 30 years.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after finding it difficult to apply sunscreen on her back and realizing the necessity for such a product.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Long-Langworthy has a rich history as an adjunct educator at the university level. She is an accomplished artist who has exhibited her pieces in numerous art shows, she usually creates 20 to 30 pieces in a particular area of concentration, such as surrealism, and then moves on to another area, such as abstract flowers. Ms. Long-Langworthy invented and patented an applicator for sunscreen and lotions for the back and other hard-to-reach areas. It easily folds for travel and storage, and can be cleaned using soap and water. Ms. Long-Langworthy's favorite saying is, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift; that's why they call it the present." - Eleanor Roosevelt
