Ms. Cole lived in Italy, and is fluent in Italian, French, Spanish and English. She became involved in her profession because she had majored in art history. She worked for one summer in a museum and was not satisfied with the experience. She switched majors to Italian history and minored in economics. She applied to four companies and was selected by Salomon Brothers; she began her education in real life economics.
