He attributes his success to the support he receives from his wife.

He became involved in his profession because of his educational background; he was afforded the opportunity through American University to build self-confidence in many areas of his success in life, and doors were opened to him that he never thought were possible. He continues to support the university to show his gratitude toward the many experiences that were granted to him while he was a student.

Mr. Exelbert also worked at WBIC radio station for two years where he conducted a program called 'Your Child.' He served as the owner of the Coral Ridge Waterfront Apartments for two years.
