What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
He attributes his success to his early farm life experiences on the importance and value of natural earth processes, as well as his very knowledgeable and talented family. He has a passion for observing nature, especially marine life and forests.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became very involved in undersea life at the age of 2 because his mother was a lifeguard and instructor who taught his sister and him how to swim and dive. From an early age, he had a love of water and sea life. It was also very special to grow up among Native Americans and other groups who appreciated nature in their own ways. He has always been very passionate about working against people who are destroying nature for no reason, instead of revitalizing life, shorelines and ecosystems.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Holmberg conducted a long-term survey of analysis by Florida State University, analyzing the Manasota Key, Fla., beach installation by Holmberg Technologies, and found that the installation site gained an average of 20 feet of beach width per year post-installation. Approximately one million cubic yards of sand has accreted in the project area and along adjacent shorelines during the first nine years after the sand-filled Geo Tec installation.

His award is staying alive to finish successful projects and watching the earth recover and resurrect and create new life on this water planet.

Reversing damage from erosion on land, watersheds, subsurface drains and sinks; Underground work; Stabilizing bluffs and cliffs
Education Certifications:
Master Mud Diver; Skipper and Salvage Specialist in Underwater Rigging, Demolition and Recovery; Numerous Licenses including Coast Guard and other Certifications
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, he hopes to slow down even more unnatural erosion and watershed loss. However, he notes that five years is not enough time to completely regain healthy beaches and watersheds.
