Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession when his desire to educate students on the importance of exercise, healthy diet and the maintenance of an appropriate body fat percentage motivated him to develop the Physical Education Evaluation Program.
Extended Bio Profile:
Professor Lualhati has tested over 45,000 students in over 50 years of teaching, and is continuing to promote health and wellness. He developed the Physical Education Evaluation Program in 1983 with the help of his nephew, and since then, he has evaluated over 40,000 students. The program measures an individual’s blood pressure, resting heart rate, body fat, one-minute abdominal curl test, height, weight and body mass index. It also teaches students about the importance of physical activity. He works at Skyline College and conducts fitness testing programs on a part-time basis. He was inducted into six athletic halls of fame. He has worked hard to promote health and wellness to his students. With the fitness testing, the amount of students on record have led the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ask him for a copy of his data on the tests he conducted. He has a son and a daughter, and is the proud grandfather of three young grandchildren Virgil, Frances and Ruby Jane.
