The highlights of her career were establishing the first National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in Orange County, CA, with the help of Cesar Chavez, and becoming involved with teenage racial understanding.

Dr. Dula worked with the U.S. Customs Service on a drug enforcement special task force, the U.S. military in Southeast Asia, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Dr. Dula is a former holder of U.S. Diplomatic and Foreign Service status and U.S Treasury law-enforcement officer status. She was also featured in UK magazine in an article titled, "Once upon a Midnight Clear." Dr. Dula is in the process of writing a student handbook titled, "Security Assessment, Lifestyle Management and Professional Development," which is a guide to building self-esteem. She also spends time working on her foundation, Children's Angel Network.
