Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after working in various health fields and always finding something missing. She sees mind, body, attitudes and behavior as being interconnected, so she decided to create her own concepts.
Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Bijaoui is in the process of establishing an organization in memory of her late mother, Annie Boukris. Her mother was the first Jewish woman to come forward to tell her experience of being hidden by an Arabic man, named Abdel-Wahhab, during the Holocaust. He allowed her family to stay in his farm house after their home in Mahdia, Tunisia, had been taken over by the Germans. Her mother’s story inspired Ms. Bijaoui to create an organization, called Boukris Foundation, which will promote peace among people of all backgrounds and ethnicity.
