Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
She's enjoyed so many wonderful experiences it's hard to choose one highlight, but the most gratifying aspect of her career was spent as a doctoral student in Prague, Vienna, and Paris. As a young professional, she also really enjoyed working in the Washington, D.C,. area and Virginia. She is also continually inspired by her love of the American Southwest. Most recently, her exploration of Antigua and Guatemala, was very rewarding.

She became involved in her profession through her passion for architecture.
Extended Bio Profile:
Redevelopment, urban design, master planning, and rehabilitation and adaptive reuse projects are of primary interest to Dr. Wuellner. She has more than 20 years of experience in the practice of historic preservation and cultural resources management, and exceeds the secretary of the interior’s professional qualification standards in history and architectural history. She has authored hundreds of technical reports for incorporation into the CEQA/NEPA/Section 106 NHPA environmental review documents (EIRs/EAs/EISs). She has an extensive background in history and conservation of art and architecture, more than 15 years professional experience as principal investigator, project manager, and technical lead for planning and preservation and architectural and engineering firms. She has demonstrated experience in management and treatment of historic properties for compliance with federal, state, and local legislation, and the review of projects for conformance with the secretary of the interior’s standards. Her doctoral dissertation, “Adolf Loos in Central European Culture” presents original research on Loos in Czech architecture and culture. Additionally, Dr. Wuellner worked with the National Heritage Office of the Czech Republic and the preservation authorities of the City of Prague to conduct research on the 1998 to 2000 restoration of the Villa Müller. She also conducted research on the reconstruction of Prague Castle by Jože Plecnik. Her master’s thesis, Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc's Organic Theory of Style, investigated rationalist theories on architecture in 18th and 19th century France. Her academic achievements include graduate work in art history, architectural history, modernism, urbanism and critical theory.
