Lola Blank, President and CEO of LHB Entertainment & Consulting in Los Angles, CA, has more than thirty years experience in the entertainment industry - and has been active in show business since the age of twelve, when she was featured in the movie Up The Down Staircase. She went on to performing in countless off-Broadway productions, and with The Robert Hooks Group Theater Workshop (which later became the Negro Ensemble Company) and Vinnette Carroll’s Urban Arts Corps. A drama major and graduate of The High School of Performing Arts – made famous by the movie and subsequent television series, Fame – Lola appeared on Broadway; and continued to appear in movie roles, most notably The Landlord, starring Beau Bridges, Diana Sands and Louis Gossett, Jr.; and The Super, starring Kenny Blank and Joe Pesci. Fame soon beckoned as she was invited to appear with James Brown and the James Brown Revue, singing and dancing all over the world, for ten years, and garnering appearances on Soul Train, Midnight Special, In Concert and numerous other music variety shows. One highlight of her association with "The Godfather of Soul" was her appearance at the Ali vs. Forman Fight, -The Rumble In The Jungle in Zaire, Africa. You can see her performing in the Oscar award-winning movie When We Were Kings and its promotional video featuring music by The Fugees. Altogether she has traveled around the world as a "Good Will Ambassador" to five magnificent continents. Music production and song writing have always been a part of her focus. Lola co-produced with Bob Blank, the #1 hit Over Like A Fat Rat for Fonda Rae (currently sampled on the triple platinum CD by SWV), Lola became an artist on Island Records with Wax The Van (one of the top ten records of the year according to The Face magazine). Lola’s voice and music continue to live on in sample form, most notably on Arthur Russell’s Bango by The Todd Terry Project and music by the dance group DeeLite. Her publishing companies Lola-La and Lo Lo Lo Music hold publishing rights for, among others, the Theme From The Super and The Montel Williams Show, as well as over 200 titles on the Muzak Network. Lola's commercial credits include the Pringles jingle (Once You Pop) as well as music for numerous television shows. A graduate of Hofstra University, Lola is a licensed Speech & Language Pathologist. She taught in the New York City’s public school system for eight years as a Speech Therapist, Language Coordinator and director of an Early Language Intervention program for students ranging from kindergarten through high school. In addition, Lola was Vice President and co-owner, of Blank Productions, inc, one of the largest all digital multimedia production facility between New York and Boston with offices in Stamford and Greenwich Connecticut, Hollywood, California, and New York City. Blank Productions was a full service production company that specialized in Source Cues and custom music production, utilizing the state of the art technology that had kept Blank Productions at the forefront of their field since 1972, and produced some of the top talent that had created hundreds of hit records, movie soundtracks, and television themes and beds. Blank Production provided music for such shows as The Montel Williams Show, Drew Carey and Just Shoot Me and created music for movies including There's Something About Mary and Fried Green Tomatoes. Ms Blank also co-created, co-produced and co-wrote the stage play, Herotique-Aahh. A hot sexistential comedy performed by 3 Blacque Chix, Lola Love, Iona Morris and Mariann Aalda. Lola is an in-demand lecturer, teacher and consultant on the entertainment industry. She owned her own management company, LHB Management for over 20 years, which specialized in guiding the careers of a very select group of young, up-and-coming talent, which included Kenn Michael, (fka) Kenny Blank.
