She attributes her success to her great mentors and coaches who believed in her when she was first starting out; taking advantage of every seminar, training, and educational opportunity; her great listening skills; and strong drive to excel and succeed with a balance of flexibility to allow herself to learn from her own mistakes.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after pursuing a career in teaching many years ago. She was in between jobs while attending college and a friend told her about a position working in health care. She took the job and liked it so much that she changed her focus, and 24 years later still in health care.

Ms. Torres has worked with CHW Mercy Medical Foundation Group for 24 years, spending the last six years of her career in her current project manager position. Prior to her current role, she gained experience in clinic administration, facilitating and managing operations, assisting with merges and acquisitions, recruiting, and business offices leadership functions. She has also done public speaking on holistic health-care-related matters.

Serving the medical group as a best practice expert; Training and on-boarding leadership roles ranging from supervisory to executive director capacities and physicians; Following up with mentoring and coaching; Implementing best practice techniques while managing daily operations with mergers and aquisitions.
