He attributes his success to his personal drive, the love and support he receives from his family, and the motivation he received from his late mother, Susie Sandidge.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because he was brought up in Mississippi, where not much importance was given to educate the African-American community, so he wanted to make a difference.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Jackson has held various positions, such as academic teacher, vice principal, federal grant coordinator and education auditor. He started his career with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as a correctional officer and worked his way up. He wrote his dissertation on an examination of violence intervention programs for juveniles, and he is currently in the process of publishing his first book, "The America You Can't Love."
