He became involved in his profession due to his brother's enthusiasm for teaching, so he decided to follow in his footsteps.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Marko was simultaneously eligible to participate in the U.S. Chess Championships upon winning the Los Angeles County Junior Chess Championship at the age of 19. Although he lost his game to an opponent who declared 49 wins and two draws, it was a great privilege for him to play against a Grand Master.
